Chapter 29

In this chapter we learn that we must sometimes minsiter outside our confort zone. There are things we may not be comfortable with at some points on our lives but we need be able to provide information to those who come to listen.
I don't have a problem with somethings making me uncomfortable when misnitering, I think that when the chapel speakers make it awkward then it's uncomfortable. Other than that its fine.

Chapter 26

Being spiritually prepared is listening to the Lord. Here's the point: God is God and we aren't. God is in heaven and we are on earth. God is Lord and we are his slaves. As we prepare for worship, remember that we are to approach God in a stature of humility.
We there is a sense in our mind that we need to open to see what God is calling us to do. Center your heart for Christ and be open minded. You're not all knowledgeable as you think you are. You're God's servant and you're in this position to help others find him.

Chapter 27

In this chapter we learn that our plans to lead others can be interfering with the guidence. We need to be prepared for spiritual guidence and know how to use it when it comes to us. Prepare yourself for the widsom of God.
I think everyone struggles with this, we focus so hard on the message of what our theme will be. When we need to be open our minds to seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit. We can also be more prepared to present our message but that comes with maturity.

Chapter 15

In this chapter the author tell us about working together. There will be times where there are issues in a group of people. It's always best to work with people constructively. Even though there may be some issues about what people want to happen in the worship team.
I think for me this is sometimes an issue because i never really have an opinion on what we work on. There isn't drama in my group and we always give contructive criticism. There isnt a time i can remember having a dispute in this group. We work together.

Chapter 13

Something we don't do well enough is prioritizing our lives. The author talks about his priorities being God, then family, then work. But it's so easy for us to mix those up. Like it's easy for us to put work before family and sometimes we even put work before God because we get so caught up in our lives we forget to stop and rethink everything.

This applies in my life, I don't have my priorities straight either. Mine kinda go like God, girlfriend, hobbies, school and then family. I know I need to work on this and I have been trying. I'm going to pray on this and hope I can make a change.

Chapter 12

God has given everyone a gift says the author. We need to learn how we can cultivate the gift and grow in this specific area that we are drawn towards. No one is ever "the best" someone will always be working harder than you are to be better. We can't get cocky and just lay back saying "oh yeah I'm already amazing at this." It's counterintuitive and God wants us to use our gifts for good and help us grow in him together.

I definitely agree with the author in this chapter. Everyone has moments in their life where they become like they are so prideful. We need to humble ourselves now and then and really work harder than everyone else. Strive to be better everyday and don't get cocky. Grow spiritually and mentally from practice because you need to and because you want to.

Chapter 11

In this chapter we learn of the authors fear of others looking at him at "the Christian." He feels this way because if he were to do something that wasn't seen as Christian people would say that he is hypocritical and he isn't follows the Lord like he was supposed to. Like he says one thing and does anyother thing and that's scary.

This would scare me too, no one wants to be judged based on their beliefs. Everyone is going to sin and make mistakes in their lives... That doesn't make us hypocrites though. This will make us question wheater or not we are good enough to lead other people in worship. My personal feelings about this is... I had a hard time believing I was good enough to be seen by God or have him actually forgive me.. But I know better now, God sees me as his son and I am able to lead others because of that.

Chapter 10

In this chapter the author talks to us about self discipline. No one is going to look up to someone who doesn't show this trait.. Especially if they claim to be a leader in worship. Most people struggle with this and won't even fully realize it. Self discipline is literally having control over your actions, being mature and acting in a seasonable manner that isn't harmful to yourself or others. It's so important that we hold ourselves accountable.

I think for me personally I will see that I'm not holding myself accountable or someone else will tell me. Like we all have this issue of not keeping ourselves fully in check. I do however think about my actions and I consciously think about how I am behaving and if what I'm doing isn't in my best personal interest or if in hurting someone else by my actions. Yeah.. God gave us free will, but we need to be responsible and use it on some way to show him praise.

Chapter 9

So.. There comes a point where we need to know that this is only about our relationship with God more than it is about being a worship leader. He talked about being lose with our role as a worship leader because this is truly all about God. We can do our jobs but we need to know that it's not something we need to hold onto so tight that we begin to value our position more than God.
I can relate to this because sometimes it's easy to get caught up with what we do and who we are and forget what our true purpose is in being a worship leader. I'm going to work on being lose and just relaxing. I'm really bad at just relaxing as I'm a very stressful type of person. So it's time I was more lose with my position and just gave my all to God in the moment.

Chapter 8

In a sense being mature is important to help lead other to worship. God calls us to be mature so we can be responsible. Being mature ties into many other aspects of life and it affects your morals. You need to be spiritually mature in order to be a serious leader. Your maturity affects your relationship with God. Being mature will also affect how others view your faith.
My level of maturity with the Lord could definitely use improvement. I have trouble sometimes making God a priority. My relationship with God is strong but I need to work on leading others to him also.
