Welcome to a wakeup call. It's hard to think that we are a good enough for Christ. It's hard to think we are ready to help lead others towards a Living God. But you know, God wants you to do that. He wants you to pour out your heart to others. When you get emotional about Jesus, God loves it. This is how I picture it, if you're truly sincere about leading others towards Christ it's like handing God your life, but if you're not sincere about it and afraid then it's like throwing yourself at him and telling him "take me I'm supposed to be here."
Learn that you're worthy. God is jealous of your love and he loves you so deeply. His salvation for us is incredible. He loved you so much he let his own son die for you. It's nice to know that he is your eternal friend. He is your Father. He is everything that this world has to offer and more. Take advantage and realize that the salvation that he gave you is your wakeup call. Take a chance and lewd others into worship. :)

Chapter 1
Look to the Lord and his strength, see his face always. The author states that he is empty while leading services because he was not full with God. He was empty and he was just lying to himself and all the people he was leading in worship. He quickly learned that he needed to be close and more intimate with God and he needed to reassess his values and that our values will change a lot as we grow older. He said God found him and saved him and brought him back into the world of worship and he was whole and full with God.
I feel like God is something that we can sometimes actually overlook while leading. People become so concerned with themselves and what they need that they forget that God is the main picture. We are hear to worship him and praise him. I appreciate how honest he is and how he was falling away. Because I'm sure everyone can relate to that. We all have our moments by the have to learn how to pull ourselves out of that attitude.
